If you’ve been wondering why you can’t breathe…I found the culprit in plain sight on the side of the road…

Just found out one of my favorite bands is actually from near my hometown! Check ‘em: Phantogram

I took a ton of these dramatically lit shots with different poses, but there is something about this one I really like…sometimes I think one photo is more powerful than giving you a bunch to look at.

He’s just cool, relaxed, and chill.  As much as I enjoyed hanging with Scott for his laid back and witty humor, he is a seriously impressive senior! He’s rocking the AP college classes.  And the soccer field.  AND the pool.  And he’s so humble that you wouldn’t even know just how awesome he is….except he shines from the inside out and you just know he’s got that certain something…so I dug for information…and he just casually mentions that he’s taking 347 AP classes.  Ok, ok, not THAT many.

But he probably could if he wanted to!

Just checking in and leaving a quick photo of a night football game I covered… night sports is and probably always will be my weakest photography link…it’s on my things to work on! This shot isn’t even edited.  I didn’t submit it for publication so it’s straight out of the camera…

First off, sorry I have been late in getting my blog posts up.  I’m lame sometimes! I am all backed up on the blog and have much to post…first, today’s photo shoot, which is a first for me.  Girls volleyball!

And now it’s time for… Great Names In U.S. History!

Nah, just kidding (well, not about the Washington part).

BUT what about Franklin Covey? Stephen Covey? or Covey Run wine?

I saw this sign in Burlington, CT and just about drove off the road (truth: I DO get excited about ridiculous things).  My aunt tells me I have some history here so this doesn’t surprise her.  If any of those wealthy relatives want to come out of the woodwork, now is a great time!

She is exquisite and glows when she smiles.  He is quieter but has a devilish grin.  Together, they are FIERCE.  I was honored and thrilled to document the wedding of Taylor and James.  They are simply…perfection.  I had a great time at their wedding and even more at their reception.  The bridal party was so much fun to be around! So many great moments and photos of this amazing team… too many favorites to narrow them down! (I made sure to decrease the resolution a LOT and make them small so you wouldn’t be waiting around for an hour while the pics load) Here are a few of my favorites…

Once I’ve got the safe shots, I like to experiment with lighting.  Love the flash flare on the next photo…put on the other side of the room specifically for this effect…

Preparing for the divine wedding of Taylor and James was a gorgeous affair…the fresh flower details in the hair, the makeup perfected, the rich colors that blended perfectly.  It made for a positively radiant bride and gorgeous wedding! A huge shout out to the girls at Elements of Style in Barneveld, NY who could not have been more fantastic.

The bride and her girls looked stunning! Some favorites from the getting ready portion of the day…

I just love this, her bridal party was SO amazing, and her girls, so beautiful!

The final details…fresh flowers and a gorgeous veil!

At the church, Taylor’s dress was exquisite, with a touch of fun that I LOVE when brides add to their look…colorful shoes to match her girls!

This is one of my favorite shots. Her girls paid such attention to detail when they were helping her with the dress.  Lots of love in that room!

These photos…wasn’t feeling it, was pressed for time because I had other news stories to shoot and not enough hours in the day…sometimes do you just feel off, like a puzzle piece that doesn’t quite fit but you jam it in there anyway? That’s how I felt today.  Better stuff tomorrow, I promise!
