Ending with some cute solo shots…and a cousin who was watching it all unfold in a superhero costume…we had to get him in!

Thank you SO much to Kharla’s beautiful family! Love my job!

How amazing is this little girl? Let me count the ways…
1.) Little Brianna was happy through 7 outfit changes!
2.) She looked up and smiled at me for just about every outfit, which is pretty much unheard of for newborn shoots!
3.) Her precious little eyes were wide eyed and sparkly…heartbreaker!

She’s an angel! Thanks so much to her parents who cleared out a huge room for us to work in and kept the cuteness coming with all of these amazing bows and props!

These two get more adorable BY THE DAY.  You may remember the dynamos from when I photographed them at their newborn shoot or their 6 month mark.  Now, at one year….it’s hard to believe how time flies…or how beautiful they are.  I love their different expressions.  I could watch them interact for hours.  Alas, work [...]

Here are some of my favorites during our time together…

Anthony busts out with the cutest laugh regularly, and Grace has the most inquisitive facial expressions.  OMG too precious!

We organized a cake smash and I was eager to see what the kids would do…every child is different and it’s all equally hilarious to see how they approach the cake…

So much love and appreciation to their parents, whom I adore with all of my heart and make me forget I’m working! They fill the room with laughter and love and I am so grateful for their friendship.

I love when parents bring it. Whether it’s ideas, props, colors, and accessories…it’s all appreciated and I love a good collaboration! Little Seleena’s mom buh-ROUGHT it, people! Some favorites from our time together…

She was cracking up at her mom here (below left) and it was possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen…

I had the privilege of shooting these two stunners last year and they were just as awesome this year! I like the casual and relaxed family portraits we do…really let’s the boys be themselves and run around!

What you get when you combine great ideas and imagination from adults, along with children who are really easy to work with.  Some of my favorites from a holiday mini shoot, where everyone really pitched in to get some unique and great moments!

There exists a perfect age.  An age when children say the most adorable things, that simultaneously crack you up and make you want to give them something that will make them stay that age forever.  Zayden is at that age.  I want to put him in a snow globe and just see what he says next.  He is SO smart, the things he says are far beyond his years…and he just oozes personality and charisma.  Z was an absolute joy to be around! Some of my favorites…

Look at this kid! Someone call GQ magazine!

So much thanks to Zayden’s family who are beautiful, kind and were an absolute pleasure to work with!

Our meet-cute was in 1990.  We were assigned to the same large wooden table to work on a ‘Home and Careers’ class sewing assignment.  I was stitching a miniature arm – backwards – onto a stuffed penguin.  Becky was cracking jokes and smiling.  Immediately, we were united.

She was the type of girl you loved to love: hilarious, kind, forgiving.

What I learned in seventh grade, holds true over two decades later.  Becky is magnificent.  A woman who is always there for you: silent yet strong.  Months pass between meetups, yet time disappears when we reunite again.  There is not a kinder, more compassionate soul who exists…I’ve always believed Becky was born to be a mother.  Her husband? A lovable teddy bear who always greets you with a smile and a hug.

I worship them, so when Brandon joined us in this world, there was no question I was going to Columbus to document yet another great accomplishment from Becky & Justin…

Brandon was the perfect baby.  (look at his parents, natch!) This actually was a challenging shoot for me technically because I haven’t used natural light to photograph a newborn in about 3 years! (Couldn’t hall my studio lights on plane…darn!)

This little one smiles when he sleeps, and it could be the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen…

I like ending the shoot with relaxed family portraits.  Three of my favorite people all on one couch!

Becky and Justin, you know you will always be highest on my pedestal.  I am lucky to have you in my life and beyond excited for the newest addition.  I am honored to photograph this perfect being, and will remain in awe of your continued love for each other and everyone around you.

As Annie Lebovitz once said, “A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.”

Nothing could be truer for me as it relates to this family.  I’ve photographed them quite a few times, and each time I get a little more excited to see them.  The parents of these dynamic little ones are the few people who I actually imagine props for.

I was at an antique flea market and saw the coca-cola box and the red chair…and I thought, I bet Isa (mom) would love this! And so it was.  Next time she contacted me I tossed out the idea….she loved it.  Add some stunning children…instant magic!

Let it be known that I don’t even try to pose little Isla anymore.  This girl has more personality than anyone I’ve ever met, so she just does her thing and you try to keep up!

Little “Bee” is really coming into his own, and looks EXACTLY like dad!

Thanks guys for another awesome session! Adore you all!
