A talented makeup artist and hair stylist, Elena needed some new head shots that showcase her style and fabulousness! We decided a slightly vintage/old Hollywood classic look would be the theme running throughout the shoot.  When I saw she brought a fur cape…well, clearly she knocked it out of the park!

We decided a slightly vintage/old Hollywood classic look would be the theme running throughout the shoot.  When I saw she brought a fur cape…well, clearly she knocked it out of the park!

A couple of my faves…

All of the accessories are Elena’s own…and I thought they were a great touch to convey different looks.  She’s so freikin’ cute in this next set!

For part of the shoot, I asked Elena if she wouldn’t mind some dramatic lighting, to add to the diversity of the looks.  She was all in! And she looks fierce!

Going for a romantic and sweet vibe…which she also rocked out…

Elena is a talented makeup artist and did all of her own work for this shoot, so if you’re in need of a girl who knows her products and also loves what she does, she’s your girl!

Thank you SO MUCH Elena! It was a pleasure to work with you and I had a ton of fun! Good luck and much success in the future!

xoxo

What can I say than you can’t already see for yourself in a second? Gorgeous eyes, cheekbones and smile…but you knew that.  Travis is also personable and fun…an absolute pleasure to shoot.

It was serendipitous for us to work together.  I had heard all of the hype about Stamford…that industries are flocking there and it has a good nightlife to boot! Good restaurants and shopping? It was serendipitous for us to work together.  I had heard all of the hype about Stamford…that industries are flocking there and it has a good nightlife to boot! Good restaurants and shopping? Please, on my way! I have been meaning to make the drive down there, so I was more than excited to spend the day and check out all that I had heard (i.e: eat a ton) and shoot a bit by the waterfront! David is as kind as he is photogenic…and, as you can see here, he is pretty damn photogenic! Some favorites during our sunset headshot session by the waterfront…

While I didn’t know this before I showed up, David is kinda famous ’round these parts, so if you recognize this athlete and entertainer…you did better than me! (It should be noted, I’m pretty much a hermit…) Dude has got some FIERCE eyes…and it was hard to pick faves!

Thanks David, it was an absolute thrill working with you!

Erin glides into the room as if on air.  She’s stunning and kind, laughs easily and is up for anything.  Was thrilled to work with her to update some headshots and, as you can see, she really has a range of beautiful looking emotions! We really tried to go for some variety, and Erin brought [...]

We really tried to go for some variety, and Erin brought the skills!

A huge thank you to talented makeup artist Jack Zbuska who took time off in between film work to help us achieve some looks! Some of my favorites during our time together…

A huge thanks to Linda who handled makeup and did a phenomenal job! Some favorites during our time together:

I wanted to use harsh lighting on Danielle.  It’s not often you can spotlight people and they look amazing, but Danielle pulled it off flawlessly!

I wanted to push the lighting in unique and interesting ways by shadowing the eyes and boosting the emotion and drama.

If you haven’t caught their insanely awesome act at a local CNY bar…at the very least check them out online. If you haven’t caught their insanely awesome act at a local CNY bar…at the very least check them out online. I was truly honored to be able to photograph them… twice.  Once in their natural element and the second for some group shots in Syracuse.  For this shoot, I embraced a dark, brooding look with both lighting and editing.  It was somewhat of a departure for me and I was thrilled do have the opportunity.

Some of my favorites…

This bottom shot of the lead singer I think could be one of my favorite portraits ever.  The light flare was perfect (just a softbox!) and the Syracuse landscape in the glasses took it over the top…plus he’s a brilliant frontman!

Thanks guys for your patience, kindness and all around coolness.  Great things ahead…

xoxo

To say this sweet and spirited teen is ambitious could be the understatement of the year! In between taking college courses, playing an instrument and dancing…she manages to find the time to be absolutely fabulous! I was exhausted thinking about all that she does day in and day out, but it made my day all that more stellar when she found time to do her senior photos with me!

We started off at at Kami’s Kix Dance Studio in Hannibal, NY.  (Take the 10 seconds to go like her on Facebook…I’ll wait!!) The studio could not have been more accommodating, I am super appreciative that the owner had no problem letting us set up lights and jamming for awhile! A few of my favorites…

We did our outside shots another day (thank you Hurricane Irene) but it was clearly worth the wait.  It ended up being absolutely lovely at Breitbeck Park in Oswego!

I’ll end with one of my favorites…Suzanne just letting the wind blow in her beautiful hair on the hill…love the feel of this photo!

Thank you so much to Suzanne and her mother Theresa for a great time and allowing me to continue to do what I love.  I am so grateful.

Check out Suzanne’s senior recap video here!
