Working on my landscapes again… Bought a super wide wide angle lens – the widest I’ve ever owned…
Documenting love, commitment, and amazing moments!
I’ve discussed on here before my issues with landscapes. Of course, I love looking at and appreciating landscapes, but not being able to do them effectively myself…is a bummer. I’ve often thought about getting a super wide angle lens. Sometimes I blame my landscape failures on the fact that there isn’t anything grandiose near where I live. But the old adage is true: “A good carpenter doesn’t blame his tools.” So enough excuses. It’s been a running goal in my head, to push myself to do better landscapes. This is one (on the Connecticut Massachusetts border) which I am actually semi-pleased with. That’s saying a lot, because I normally hate any landscape I do. I wish the horses were placed differently, I wish the light was a tad better, but for now, I think it’s a good start…
This next one was one of the rejects. I thought the fog was cool but it didn’t look as amazing in picture form…
Have been on the road nonstop! Quite a few New England states, as a matter of fact. I’ve been following a cool river trip (click here for more information, my videos and the reporter’s story). Here is the view before departure in Massachusetts. As much as I hate getting up at 5am…I do appreciate that it’s the best time to shoot!
I haven’t posted in awhile and promise I will play catch up! Have lots of shoots to share and of course some funny stories along the way. My adventures always have a little mishap thrown in for good measure so I do have some random nuggets for ya! Spent a lot of time in NY and DC this week so stay tuned! (I know, I know…what a tease)
A day trip just to get away and enjoy some peace on the water…
These trips are always interesting adventures. I meet and speak with strangers. I watch people and wonder what they’re all about. I see the landscape roll by. I stand alone and in silence to take pictures. I’d be hard pressed to come up with a more perfect day.
