It is hard to explain the amount of love and kindness this family extends to complete strangers.  Even though I only met them the day of Ivann’s Baptism, the generosity was incredible and unforgettable.  Additional note: I’ve shot at Saint Teresa’s church before and Father Baker is a photographer’s dream come true (he allows flash, even at weddings…woot!) Here are some of my favorites during the day…

I’ve never seen this before in a Baptism but thought it was a great addition.  Father took Ivann for a walk down the aisle and people were able to get a look and pat them both on the back.  A special treat for those in attendance!

Thanks so much to Ivann’s family who made the day awesome! I am so honored!

Bethany and I were fast friends.  Maybe it was my daily singing of Elvis’ greatest hits songs to her, or maybe it was because she really had no other choice, given that we lived together as summer camp counselors.  I knew then she had the patience of a saint (for the campers AND the counselors…hey-ohhhh!). Sometimes you just know when someone will be a great mom.  She was and still is exceptionally kind and personable.  I am honored that we’ve remained close.

Now that she lives three thousand miles away, I jumped at the chance to photograph her new daughter Rocio, who, might I add is one of the happiest babies I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing! Here are some of my favorites during our time together at Immaculate Conception in Fayetteville, NY:

The church has some great natural light, which made everything look so much prettier! (usually I have to flash – and I mean FUH-LASH – every shot inside churches!)

As much as everyone wanted to hold her, touch her, squeeze her cheeks…she was game every single time.  She just smiled through it all!

We headed outside for some quick family portraits and I wanted to make sure we got some full length shots of this gorgeous dress!

And because her eyes are extra sparkly, lets get in real close…

Thanks so much to Bethany and her gracious and equally kind hearted husband for giving me the honor of photographing such a special event! Safe travels back to the west coast!
