Keeping In Touch

Among my all-time favorite things are the relationships I form with brides, grooms, and their remarkable families. All the planning and preparation, the dozens of emails and texts and phone calls, ends so abruptly. It goes by too fast. I feel a loss after the wedding images are delivered because, well, I’m not afraid to say it, many of these people have my heart. I root for them sitting at my computer when I see their faces in my Facebook feed. I smile when they send me cute photos of their babies. I shriek when I see them at weddings they’ve referred to me. Memories flood my head when I hear a certain song on the radio that triggers moments from a phenomenal wedding I documented. I’ll readily admit, I love these people!

It thrills me they don’t forget about me. I love reconnecting after the wedding to do anniversary sessions, newborn shots or casual family pictures. During the off-season, it’s so much fun to catch up with the great clients I had. I love rehashing the wedding and finding out what’s next for them. I wish I could do more sessions during wedding season, my time vanishes in the summer!

The fact that they even thought of me to document another big moment in their lives leaves my heart full of gratitude. I’m excited to share a few favorite sessions I’ve done recently for some of these outstanding humans…

Three years ago Jennifer and Peter had one of the most beautiful weddings ever, so I was so excited when they told me they were expecting! These two are total pros by now at getting their photo taken, which is good because we had to shoot quickly, it was freezing out!

Kelly and Tim are among my all-star couples, I have endless fun with these two, who are also expecting!

A newborn mini-session for Arica and Craig, who had an unforgettable wedding with an epic party that will go down in history!

I’ve photographed Deriq’s headshots in 2013 and 2014, so when he mentioned documenting his family I knew they would be as warm and personable as him!
