What is your style?

My approach to your wedding day is to let events and moments unfold naturally, without choreographing them. My humble opinion is that real moments beat Pinterest poses every single time! This is more widely known as documentary or journalistic photography. Apart from the formal posing of the day with family and wedding party, 90 percent of the day is candids. In the years to come, I want you to remember exactly how the day felt.

How quickly will I get my wedding photographs?

I pride myself on quick turnaround time! While my contract states 4 weeks as a maximum, in the 15 years I've been shooting weddings, I have never delivered a gallery over 2 weeks old. If you need your photos faster than that, I do offer rush editing for an extra fee. Prints take about a week from placing your order and most printed wedding albums are delivered within a month of your order.

How many pictures will we get?

While it depends on the number of guests, the size of the wedding party, and the number of hours I am shooting, a general rule is 60 images per hour (if I am shooting alone). That's about a photo every minute! There is no limit on pictures that will be delivered, however. I tend to hand over anything that is in focus, knowing that you will find value in a lot of images that I may not think is technically "perfect."

Can I order prints or a wedding album?

Yes! You and your family and friends can order prints inside the gallery of digital images that I will send to you after your wedding day. We also have a variety of gorgeous leather albums in different colors and sizes that will be with your family for generations. (I would love to show you some samples in person!) We have options for every budget. I can also design Save the Dates and Thank You cards in your color and theme!

Why do you only offer one price, what if I only need you for 4 hours?

My coverage is unlimited, it extends from the getting ready part of the day right through the last dance! I want to tell the entirety of your wedding day story, whether the day is 6 hours or 16! I tend to attract couples who are also obsessed with photographs and want me to be there for every second!

Will you edit my imperfections?

If something shows up on your wedding day that shouldn't be there (skin acne/mosquito bite/bruise) I will do my absolute best to make sure it is edited out of all of my photos. That said, I will not make someone skinnier. Women are bombarded with messages telling women how we should look. I reject sociocultural pressures be a certain weight or body shape. If you are self conscious about something, let me know and I will be sure to keep that in mind when I am documenting your event!

Do you travel?

We do! In fact, most of our weddings are out of town. All travel in the northeast is included in the base price. Destination weddings farther away also have a base rate, which can be found here.

Do I need a second shooter?

About 80 percent of my couples hire Peter, my partner. He typically covers your fiancé, the First Look, ceremony, cocktail hour or decor inside the venue, and finishes with the formal dances. Usually 5 hours is sufficient. If you're unsure, I urge you to read this helpful blog post.
