I have such a fondness for weddings in Alexandria Bay and the Thousand Islands because I spent summers up here as a child. There is an ease and laid back vibe, where even tourists are somewhat local. There’s also a distinct look to the area, featuring some of the oldest rock in the world. The granite peeks out in random spots: moss covered mounds emerging from the grass and rock ledges dotting the shore.
