As the sun rose over The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, fog surrounded wedding guests gathered to take a dip in Otsego Lake. The couple and their V.I.P.’s slipped down to the water’s edge and started their day with a cold plunge, laughter echoing across the glassy surface. (I’ve always offered unlimited hours, so I was there from sun-up to sundown!)
As the wedding day unfolded, Cooperstown showed off in the best way. Guests gathered for an outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake, where gusts of wind and shimmering water created a naturally stunning backdrop. Vows were exchanged with happy tears and wide smiles.
By the time the sun dipped low again, the energy had completely shifted in the best way. What began as a serene, intimate wedding morning at The Otesaga transformed into a full-on celebration. The dance floor filled fast and stayed that way all night…
