Family Documentary: Monroe, NY

A family celebrated their beautiful girl’s Baptism and I was honored to follow them around, capturing unique relationships and connection! There is nothing sweeter than relatives traveling from all over the country for a big event, packed with smiles, hugs and wonderful moments! I started at the family’s house for the getting ready, then joined them for the ceremony and reception. I find that extended coverage like this highlights the beautiful everyday interactions among family members and showcases honest love.

So thankful for wonderful people and inspiring days like this…

Family Documentary: Boston, MA

I am continually thankful for families who allow me to capture how their life really is. The worn furniture, the mismatched clothes, the toys in the crevices of a well-lived home. It’s beautiful. It’s real.

To me, family isn’t dressing in matching outfits, going to a place you’ve never been and posing on a velvet couch in a field. Nope, a family’s legacy takes root in a home. A messy space meant for living, laughing and loving. I love that a photograph is valuable not only in the subjects it showcases, but the little items in the background that also spark memories.

Decades from now I want my clients to remember the way that old carpet felt on their bare feet or how it felt to chase around the pet through the cramped hallways. In-home sessions fuel my photographic soul.

I can’t thank this family enough for welcoming me into their honest life…

Video: Body By Design

This small business owner is someone who constantly inspires me and motivates others! Jennifer owns Body By Design, a studio which means so much more than group fitness. Spending time with this tribe, you get a sense that the BBD studio is not just a place of motivation and physical activity, but underlying love, support and transformation.

A profile of the members and owner of this special place…

Kristin & Chris: Lake Placid Lodge Wedding

Amid a fresh snowfall and the bluest sky you’ve ever seen, a group of incredible people got together for an intimate celebration. Nestled in a quintessential Adirondack lodge, there was something truly magical about this winter wedding. Kristin and Chris are an easygoing, carefree couple. They did not stop smiling for a minute! Best of all, we were able to get the most natural reactions. Everyone was so emotionally invested in the festivities, no one even noticed us!

We should all be so fortunate to live a day like this in our lifetime.

A few favorites from Kristin and Chris’ Lake Placid Lodge celebration…

What a spectacular wedding! To see more photos, check out their slideshow.
