San Francisco Love Story: Lecia & Nick

It’s not often I can get a couple in front of my lens on BOTH coasts, but these two superstars have done it! I was thrilled to photograph Lecia and Nick in their home of NYC awhile back, but then we got the chance to have them represent San Francisco, where Lecia is born and raised. Sometimes it takes both coasts to tell the love story of two lives intertwined, destined to meet. So, here we are. Lecia and Nick are as relaxed as can be, I love having them in front of my lens and am usually cackling behind the camera with their banter. And, the California light? It is real, folks, and… it is magical. It really is. Every time I do a shoot here, it is perfection. This time was no different. We started at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre and I couldn’t believe how empty it was for us to take photos! Such a beautiful spot…

Ok, so it may have been too foggy for the Golden Gate Bridge but we DID get the trolley shot!

Seriously? I don’t know what I love more: this California light or this unabashedly fun couple…

Krista & BJ: The Grand Oak Villa Wedding

A really special wedding day is hitting the blog! Krista and BJ are two of the sweetest people, whom I fell for within seconds of meeting. They were united in a timeless and classy event in Connecticut as their gorgeous young daughter looked on. The day went smoothly thanks to an awesome bride and groom, warm family, and a wedding party that was amazing and fun! I’m not gonna lie, the gorgeous weather helped! The day was relaxed and casual, with beautiful moments unfolding constantly. It was an honor and pleasure to witness these two lovely humans commit the rest of their lives as one. Days don’t get much better than this.

Love Story: Shelly & Chris

It often happens that I don’t meet my couples until the engagement session, so there is often the worry that they won’t be able to relax in front of me and just show their authentic selves. All was laid to rest in about 13 seconds of meeting these two beauties! With a perfect day, a lovely backdrop and the entirety of Letchworth State Park to ourselves, these two went for it. I can be goofy and ridiculous until the sun goes down to draw it out of them, but if two people in love aren’t willing to be loosen up and be vulnerable in front of my lens, the photos reflect pretty poses but not necessarily real life connection. But Shelly and Chris? Woah. They blew me away with their sincerity and love.

I am totally enamored with these two. I love how they love freely and the photos totally reflect that…

Love Story: Audrey & Peter

Spring is filled with all of my favorite things. The little green buds peaking out of tree branches make me so immensely excited for warmer weather. Particularly, all of the weddings and photo sessions filled with love that will bloom along with it. Audrey and Peter were my first spring session and boy are they lovely! A fun couple who are relaxed and beautiful, these two don’t stop smiling for a second. They decided to hold an engagement session in their hometown, the foundation of a lifelong friendship and connection. Engagement shoots are always remarkable, but if your backdrop is the scene of the beginning of your love story, it makes it incredibly special. Downtown Clinton, NY has so much character and color, I never tire of photographing love stories there.

Expecting: Becky & Matt

I was introduced to this family about 7 years ago and after so many big life moments, now they feel as if they’re MY family! The excitement when Becky and Matt contacted me about shooting their “expecting” session this past winter, I was beyond. On a gorgeous day in Alexandria, Virginia these two floated around as we laughed and got caught up on family matters.;)
